In addition to writing, I've worked as a graphic artist/designer and digital animator. I was creative director, graphic artist and digital animator for CD-ROM adaptations of five Mercer Mayer children's books, and designed and produced animation and video elements for Microsoft, Parkay and Ballpark Franks. Currently, my primary graphics client is The Skillman Foundation in Detroit, for whom I've designed annual reports, display graphics, a bi-monthly newsletter and weekly full page children's ads for the Detroit News and Free Press.

I designed and animated maps, archival photographs and credit sequences for Thomas Allen Harris' acclaimed documentary, "Twelve Disciples of Nelson Mandela". It premiered at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival, and aired in fall of 2006 on the PBS documentary series, P.O.V. I also designed still, movie poster and headline animation for "Fabulous", a documentary on the history of gay cinema for the Independent Film Channel, which premiered at the 2006 Berlin Film Festival. Most recently, I completed animated graphics for three episodes of the new IFC Indie Sex series, which premiered in August 2007.
